Celebrating the Journey: The Inaugural Eighth-Grade Graduates of The Redeemer's School
As the academic year comes to a close, we have the privilege and joy of celebrating a significant milestone in our history. This year marks the first graduating class of eighth-grade students at TRS, and it's with tremendous gratitude that we reflect upon the growth, accomplishments, and memories forged by these remarkable young image-bearers during their time with us.
TRS has always been committed to nurturing the minds, hearts, and souls of our students, providing them with an education rooted in Christian values. This commitment extends to our eighth-grade students, whom we have diligently guided, challenged, and inspired throughout their educational journey. Our dedicated faculty and staff have continually raised the standards, ensuring that these students are fully prepared for the exciting, yet demanding, world of high school and beyond.
To equip our eighth graders for the rigors of high school, we recognized the importance of offering a comprehensive academic program. Our commitment to excellence is exemplified by initiatives like the PreACT, which provided our students with valuable experience in standardized testing. Eighth-grade student Christian Dyson shares his appreciation for the preparation he received at TRS, saying, "TRS has helped me grow as a person and prepared me for the world outside their walls."
Beyond academic achievements, what truly sets TRS apart is the strong sense of community and family that permeates our campus. Ja'Nyla Lee, another eighth-grade graduate, cherishes the personal connections fostered during her time as a student, "My favorite thing about being a TRS student is the small setting and how it allows me to have a personal relationship with my instructors." Indeed, at TRS, we are more than a school; we are a family bound together by faith and shared values. Courtlandt Willingham II, a member of this inaugural class, expresses his appreciation for the close-knit community fostered here, saying, "My favorite thing about TRS has been the way everyone knows one another and the small classes."
The journey of these exceptional eighth graders would not have been possible without the guidance and support of our remarkable faculty and staff. Reflecting on this momentous occasion, Mr. Menogan, our Head of School, shares, "Witnessing the growth and accomplishments of our first eighth-grade graduating class fills me with immense joy and pride. I am confident they will continue to shine brightly in high school and beyond."
Mrs. Moore, our Dean of Academics, echoes this sentiment, saying, "These graduates have exhibited remarkable dedication and resilience throughout their time at TRS. We are immensely proud of their accomplishments and confident in their ability to embrace the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead."
Lastly, Mr. Beasley, our Associate Head of School, adds, "TRS has provided these young individuals with a strong foundation not only academically but also spiritually and emotionally. We are excited with hopeful anticipation to witness their impact for God’s kingdom on their high school campuses and beyond."
As we bid farewell to our eighth-grade graduates, we assure them that God's grace, protection, and peace will follow them into their future endeavors. These eighth graders have left an indelible mark on our hearts, and we will continue to uphold them in prayer, confident that they are equipped and ready to take on this new chapter in their lives.
Congrats, Class of 2023!
