Celebrating Family with Donuts With Dudes
Fostering strong family bonds is a key aspect to developing emotionally healthy children who grow and thrive. Recently, we hosted an event that epitomizes the way we programmatically prioritize ways to celebrate and strengthen our TRS families. Donuts With Dudes was a huge hit as our young boys and young men welcomed the significant male figures in their lives to campus to share a delicious donut breakfast and spend time fellowshipping together.
The event is more than just a morning of sugary treats; it serves as an embodiment of the belief we have in the importance of family and the significance of strong male figures in the lives of our students. In a world that often moves at a relentless pace, Donuts With Dudes offers a precious opportunity for our students to slow down and spend quality time with their fathers, grandfathers, uncles, or other significant male role models.
Our Head of School, Mr. Kelle Menogan, welcomed students and guests and shared a brief encouragement from God’s Word. He shared the vital role we play as men in the lives of our boys, and what an essential, and humbling, part we play in their story. As a Christian school, we prioritize the teachings of God as our Father, guiding us to love and support one another. Just as God's love is central to Christian belief, so too is the love and guidance provided by fathers and father figures in shaping a child’s character, moral compass, and purpose.
Recognizing the crucial role families play in a child's emotional health and development, our school supports and promotes bonding to reinforce the values taught in our classrooms. As our families strengthen, our school community can play a support to develop priceless memories that will bless students and parents for years to come.
Dudes, thank you for showing your support of the young men in your life by being present! It was a tremendous blessing to see 75 men in attendance at this year’s event. We are proud to stand alongside you in shepherding the hearts of our students in these uniquely formative years.
We look forward to hosting our Muffins with Mom event later this year to celebrate the special role our Mom’s plays in the lives of our students!
