Teacher Feature: Meet Mrs. Pe’Quawna Davis
Our students absolutely LOVE Mrs. Davis, who started off teaching 1st grade at The Redeemer’s School. Now, as the Academic Interventionist some of her many responsibilities include, finding unique and fun ways to interactively engage students to help them achieve grade level goals and succeed in the classroom. Mrs. Davis also leads the academic assessments for prospective students and manages the Swag Wagon, an academic incentive program centered around scholarly achievement and some really cool prizes! To know Mrs. Davis is to love her. Her sweet and gentle spirit, combined with her passion for educating students makes her shine. We are so blessed to have Mrs. Davis as part of the TRS family!
What's Your Name and Job Title? My name is Pe’Quawna Davis and I currently serve as the Academic Interventionist at TRS.
What's Your Story? I am blessed to be married to my bestfriend, Areat Davis Sr. We share three children together; Areat Jr. (11), A’riverlynn (6), and Avian (1). I am originally from Hazelhurst, MS, but my family and I currently reside in Jackson, MS.
Why Are You At The Redeemer's School? My choice to serve at The Redeemer’s School was truly a leap of faith. As my relationship with Christ grew, so did my desire to teach in an environment that nurtured the minds and spirits of students. It has been three years now and I am certain that I am absolutely where I am supposed to be.
What's Your Hope For Your Students? I want each and every one of my students to know that they are loved and cared for. I also want them to know that there is beauty in their struggles; I encourage them to turn their obstacles into building blocks for success.
