Portrait of a TRS Graduate
It has been an extremely busy semester at The Redeemer’s School. We have more students than ever before, more academic and elective classes than ever before, more classrooms in operation than ever before, and more staff than ever before. In case you didn’t notice, that is a lot of ‘more than ever befores' :)
While all of those ‘more than ever befores’ are exciting, they do represent the end of an era. We are about to turn the page from the chapter titled “Launch & Start-up” to the next chapter of our story that is titled “Refine & Enhance”.
To aid us as we enter this new season, we have created our Portrait of a TRS Graduate. The Portrait of a TRS Graduate is the culmination of all we hope to be true of our future 8th grade graduates. This portrait equips our school leadership to refine our programs and create intentional, strategic enhancements that allow us to maximize the impact we can make in the lives of our students. And it is no accident that each of the elements represented in our portrait correlate to one or more of our TRS Thriving Index Pillars.
When we think about our future graduates, we think of the ABC’s.
We are committed to prepare our students for the academic rigor of future coursework. When they leave TRS, they are ACADEMICALLY CAPABLE.
We are committed to prepare our students to be more than scholars; they are image-bearers of God who find their identity and purpose in Him. When they leave TRS, they are BIBLICALLY GROUNDED.
We are committed to prepare our students to view themselves as ambassadors of Christ’s peace, wherever they may find themselves. When they leave TRS, they are COMMITTED AMBASSADORS.
We are committed to prepare our students to be selfless servants who sacrifice for the betterment of those they love. When they leave TRS, they are DEDICATED SERVANTS.
We are committed to instilling value in how our students think about their emotional & physical health. When they leave TRS, they are EMOTIONALLY & PHYSICALLY HEALTHY.
We are committed to preparing our students to embrace opportunities to join God in the work He is doing to see “His kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven.” When they leave TRS, they are FAITHFULLY FUELING INTO GOD’S KINGDOM.
May God continue to bless our efforts as we aspire to holistically develop our students from A’s through F’s into young men and women who love God and others.
