The Mississippi Children’s Museum is teaming up with area educators in an amazing new way. Our very own Mrs. Leah Nance, middle school science teacher here at TRS, along with other education professionals, has been selected by The Mississippi Children’s Museum as an official Community Stakeholder. In this exciting new role, Mrs. Nance will help shape the way the museum serves Mississippi’s K-12 children through STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math).

Mrs. Nance, one of 24 committee members from various education backgrounds, is the only classroom teacher represented. “I’m very excited to be working with this group,” Mrs. Nance notes. “I feel that the 4th through 8th grade population is underserved and I’m excited to serve in this way!”  As part of the museum’s advisory committee, Mrs. Nance will have opportunities to share ideas and insights as they strive to develop a new STEM gallery at the museum.
